About Me

Hi there! My name is Ruth and I am based in Suffolk, offering both clinic and in home lactation services including tongue tie assessment and release in Suffolk, Cambridge, Essex and Norfolk. 

I am a Mother to 4  beautiful children and a Grandmother to 1, living in Bury St Edmunds. I also have 4 dogs and love walks in the countryside with them.

I have spent my whole career working with Mothers and babies. My move into an NHS role began many many years ago working in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) with premature and unwell babies. A large part of my role was around breastfeeding and assisting new babies to learn to breastfeed under challenging circumstances.

I made the move over to Midwifery 14 years ago and for the last 9 years I have been based purely in postnatal care which I consider my passion and enjoy supporting the management of a busy postnatal ward for the NHS 2 days a week

My love for offering breastfeeding support led me to train to become an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant and then expanded this to add Tongue Tie assessment and release in the private sector. In the past 2 years I have completed additional training in oral function to offer specialist services in this area for babies when tongue tie release alone is not enough.

I feel being able to support new families after birth to be an absolute privilege and would love to hear from you if you are requiring Tongue Tie release, feeding support or even just a more personalised service in the early postnatal period.
