This appointment is offered to those that have had an assessment appointment and division has been agreed.
An appointment will typically go as follows:
Discussions around risks around division, bleeding management, what to expect from baby directly after division and what to expect in the week following
Consent
The division itself
Feeding support post division
Review of wound with parents
Exercises to prevent regrowth
Exercises for babies with high or sensitive palates
2 weeks of remote support via email, WhatsApp and phone
Follow up in person face to face appointments bookable by arrangement at additional cost if further feeding support needed.
Appointment to answer your breastfeeding questions and get you started with expressing before baby arrives
If we have already spent time together assessing your needs and you feel you would like further face to face support as you establish please feel free to book in additional sessions
These sessions last up to an hour depending on how willing baby is to participate and the level of need
